Philanthropic Giving

 

The Annual Fund is the main vehicle for receiving monetary gifts to the school that are to be used for the day-to-day operations of the ministry. In an effort to make the education of the school affordable to as many families as possible, the tuition charged for enrollment does not entirely cover the actual cost of education.  The Annual Fund helps supply the resulting need.  Annual Fund gifts can be of any size and are tax-deductible. Typically, gifts to the Annual Fund are non-designated gifts, allowing the liberty of the school to direct the funds to where they are most needed at any given time.  The goal of the Annual Fund is to develop reliable and sustainable giving to the ongoing operation of the school over time in order to fully attain its God-given mission.

 

The Tuition Assistance Fund allows for designated gifts for the purpose of assisting families with financial need to be able to meet the tuition requirements of the school.  Without the care and concern of Christian brothers and sisters, many families simply would not be able to afford a Dayspring education.  Since it is the mission of the school to educate young men and women who are equipped to restore biblical thinking to the major institutions of our society, the Tuition Assistance Fund helps provide a Dayspring Principle Approach education to more students, thereby enabling us to better attain this mission. Tuition Assistance Fund gifts are distributed based upon demonstrated need and are tax-deductible.  

 

In December of 2006, the Dayspring School Board authorized the establishment of the Capital Campaign Fund.  Gifts to this fund are restricted to use for the establishment of the permanent home site for Dayspring Christian Academy and are governed by the Dayspring Christian Academy Capital Gifts Investment Policy (available upon request).
