The Remember America Speaker Series is an outreach of Dayspring Christian Academy, which is one of 25 Principle Approach schools in America. The Speaker Series is part of a broad vision to restore the biblical foundation of our nation.
LTG (Ret) William G. “Jerry” Boykin was one of the original members of the U.S. Army’s Delta Force. He was privileged to ultimately command these elite warriors in combat operations. Later, Jerry Boykin commanded all the Army’s Green Berets as well as the Special Warfare Center and School.
In his thirty-six years in the army, LTG Boykin also served a tour with the CIA. He has participated in clandestine operations around the world and served his last four years in the Army as the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. Today he is an ordained minister with a passion for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and encouraging Christians to become Warriors in God’s Kingdom.
Since June of 2012, Jerry has been serving as the Executive Vice President of the Washington DC-based Family Research Council. He is also the occupies the Wheat Chair for Leadership Studies at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.
Jay Alan Sekulow is Chief Counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice and the European Centre for Law and Justice. An accomplished and internationally respected judicial advocate, Sekulow has presented oral arguments before the Supreme Court of the United States in numerous cases in the defense of constitutional freedoms, especially those involving religious liberty. The National Law Journal has twice named Sekulow one of the 100 most influential lawyers in America. He is the author of numerous publications and legal articles. His most recent book, Rise of ISIS, reached number one on the New York Times bestseller’s list. In 2014, Sekulow was honored by the Greek Orthodox Order of St. Andrew the Apostle with the prestigious Athenagoras Human Rights Award. Previous recipients of the award include Pres. Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush and Arch-Bishop Desmond Tutu. In 2014, Dr. Sekulow was appointed a Senior Fellow at Emory University School of Law.
Jay Sekulow received his Ph.D. from Regent University, with a dissertation on American Legal History, is an honors graduate of Mercer Law School, where he served on the Mercer Law Review and is an honors graduate of Mercer University. Sekulow completed an Executive Program at Vanderbilt University’s Owen School of Management. He was appointed a Visiting Fellow of Oxford University at Harris Manchester College where he lectured on Middle East Affairs and International Law. He completed postdoctoral studies at Oxford University’s History, Politics and Society program on Religion and the Middle East. Jay Sekulow has also served as a faculty member for the Office of Legal Education at the United States Department of Justice and has lectured around the globe. Immediately following graduation from law school, he served as a tax trial attorney in the Office of Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service, United States Department of the Treasury.
The Remember America Speaker Series brings a message of hope and unity to the Lancaster region and has reached more than 13,000 people in the past six years.
The event also brings an exhibit from the Museum of the Bible, an innovative, global, educational institution whose purpose is to invite all people to engage with the history, narrative, and impact of the Bible. The Museum of the Bible is slated to open in Fall 2017 in Washington, D.C. and will be housed in a 430,000-square-foot building just two blocks from the National Mall and three blocks from the nation’s Capitol. It will provide guests with an immersive and personalized experience as they explore the history, narrative, and impact of the Bible. The museum will be an unparalleled experience, using cutting-edge technology to bring the Bible to life. It will span time, space, and cultures, inviting everyone to engage with the Bible. Dayspring Christian Academy and the Remember America Speaker Series are thrilled to bring an exhibit from Museum of the Bible. God’s Word is living and active. It is transformational. It is the source of Truth. We praise the Lord that He would entrust us with this exhibit.
