As part of the Varsity interscholastic athletic program at DCA, strength training and conditioning offers student athletes the opportunity to compete at a higher level simply through increased physical fitness. By participating in strength and conditioning, athletes will take steps to (1) prevent injury in sports competition, (2) increase their level of fitness in order to increase their level of competition and skills as an athlete, and (3) develop the mental toughness necessary to compete in their sport. Strength and conditioning are incorporated into the practice schedule of each varsity sport.
Preseason Strength and Conditioning workouts are optional but highly recommended for all athletes. Please download and complete the 2018-2019 Weight Room Waiver. You will not be able to participate until this form is completed and turned in.
