Meet the Teacher: Josephine Snyder
What is your name? Josephine Snyder but I go by Jolene Snyder.
What do you teach? I am the Enrichment Aide for the supplemental Kindergarten program, I.D.E.A.!, on Tuesdays and Thursdays
How many years have you taught at Dayspring? The 2018-2019 school year is my second year at Dayspring.
What do you appreciate the most about the Principle Approach? Incorporating a biblical worldview with each subject.
What do you see in your students that is most encouraging? The willingness to try and follow God and try their best.
Why do you love teaching at Dayspring? I love that I can speak truth into their lives and show them the love of Christ.
How do you teach a biblical worldview in your classroom? I teach a biblical worldview by teaching the Bible and talking about how God would want us to respond in different situations.
What do you think most students appreciate about your class? I think my students appreciate that they can have fun and learn new, fun things.
What is unique about you, your talents, or interests that you bring to the classroom? I know how to lead or follow. I love being an aide but can step into the teaching role if needed. I have operated in both of these roles for about 28 years. I love showing the love of Christ to the students, and enjoy helping/teaching the students about God and learning new and fun things.
What have you seen in your students over the years that has touched your heart the most? They want to follow God and learn to do what is right.
