Meet the Teacher: Randy Hilton
What is your name? Dr. Randy Hilton
What do you teach? 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Latin, 10th grade Doctrines
How many years have you taught at Dayspring? The 2018-2019 school year is my 15th year.
What do you appreciate the most about the Principle Approach? The Bible is the basis in every subject we teach.
What do you see in your students that is most encouraging? When I see students taking ownership of their faith, their education, and their actions.
Why do you love teaching at Dayspring? It is like a family.
How do you teach a biblical worldview in your classroom? Everything that we have done, every person who has been a part of our lives, every event, etc., have played a part in developing the worldview that we have. It is important to match it with what Scripture says to see and know where we stand.
What do you think most students appreciate about your class? They are free to ask any questions and express their opinions.
What is unique about you, your talents, or interests that you bring to the classroom? I genuinely care about the students and believe that they will find good success. I care about their souls, and desire that they would truly know Christ as their Savior. I have deepened my knowledge and experience over 30 years of pastoring, counseling, and teaching.
What have you seen in your students over the years that has touched your heart the most? When they completely turn their hearts over to the Lord.
At Dayspring Christian Academy, we are committed to raising up the next generation of Christian leaders who acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ in every area of life, demonstrate a biblical worldview, become citizens of excellence in Christian character and scholarship, and aid in the restoration of America’s biblical foundation.
