Step 1: Apply Online

Apply Now

Start by completing and submit your child’s application. In addition to your application, Dayspring requires a recommendation from your church. The Admissions Office will contact your pastoral staff with the church information you provide in your application.

If an IEP or GIEP has been written for your child, please submit a copy of it to Dayspring, as well as any specialized testing results. You can submit these materials in the following ways:

  • E-mail: khasting@dayspringchristian.com
  • Fax: 717-285-2033
  • Mail: Dayspring Christian Academy
    Admissions Office
    120 College Avenue
    Mountville, PA 17552

Step 2: Interview and Testing

When Dayspring receives all documents, forms, and fees, we will contact you to schedule an interview and new student intake testing. The interview will be conducted in person at Dayspring Christian Academy with both parents. Upper School students (grades 6-12) are required to attend; Lower School students are invited but not required to attend.

The Admissions Office will also contact you to schedule testing as follows. Children entering…

  • Kindergarten students are tested in small groups in March, April, and May.
  • 6th-12th grades complete their math placement testing and writing essay with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
  • Grades 1-5 complete their math placement testing and writing essay with the Lower School Principal.

After all admissions requirements have been met, the Dayspring Admissions Director will notify parents that the student has been accepted into the student body at Dayspring.

Step 3: Enrollment

After acceptance, Dayspring requires the following to finalize the enrollment process:

  • Physical examination form for students entering prekindergarten, kindergarten, 6th, and 11th grades.
  • Immunization form or your statement of objection
  • PIAA athletic forms, if participating (only for grades 6-12)
  • FACTS enrollment
  • Transportation form

When is enrollment completed?

Enrollment is completed when you sign the parent agreement and return it to Dayspring.

In August, students entering all grades will receive a letter from their homeroom teacher. You will also start receiving The Beacon through your email, which includes important dates about orientation, supply lists, Welcome Back night, and the first days of school.
