A Principle-Approach® Pre-K–12 Christian School in Lancaster County, PA
Dayspring students have the opportunity to earn up to 28 college credits before graduating from high school through our dual enrollment program with Cairn University and AP courses. Many of our students arrive at college already having earned a full semester of credits.
Dayspring Christian Academy’s mission reflects our commitment to academic excellence and college preparation for our students who desire to go on to college. In fact, our SAT scores are on average about 100 points higher than the national average. This is a reflection of our students’ commitment to working as unto the Lord in school and the preparation that we offer as students prepare for college. Dayspring’s mission also seeks to develop the Lordship of Jesus Christ in every area of life for our students and calls for excellence in character. With hearts set on seeking the Lord, over the past five years, 74% of our graduates have attended a Christian university. Some of the colleges our students frequently select are Liberty University, Cedarville University, Regent University, and Grove City College. Over the years, our students have been admitted to the most rigorous institutions, including Drexel University, Holberton School of Software Engineering, Swarthmore, and others. Typically, our students are admitted to their first choice for colleges.
A student’s grade point average and class rank reflect their academic achievement in grades 9 through 12 and are computed cumulatively on the basis of a four-point scale at the conclusion of the year. Final marks in all credit courses are used, and Honors and AP courses are weighted. All courses taken at Dayspring Christian Academy, except college courses, are included in the computation.
