What is your name? Eric D. Schwartz
What do you teach? 7th English & Literature, 10th/11th Hermeneutics, 11th grade AP English Composition and Language, 12th New Testament Greek
How many years have you taught at Dayspring? I have been at Dayspring for 25¾ years (as of the 2018-2019 school year).
What do you appreciate the most about the Principle Approach? Friendly relationship between biblical and all other revealed truth.
What do you see in your students that is most encouraging? Intellectual and spiritual curiosity
Why do you love teaching at Dayspring? There is freedom to declare and explore the gospel.
How do you teach a biblical worldview in your classroom? I model biblically minded responses to ideas that arise in our readings.
What do you think most students appreciate about your class? Spontaneous interaction with material (e.g., discovering and responding to research we do together on the spot)
What is unique about you, your talents, or interests that you bring to the classroom? I have a knack for writing songs, and have many mnemonic songs, especially for memorizing Greek inflections (i.e., declension and conjugation material).
What have you seen in your students over the years that has touched your heart the most? I am most touched by friendly camaraderie shown by many students.
