What is your name? Molly Harrison

What do you teach? I am the P139 Aide and the Afterschool Program Director

How many years have you taught at Dayspring? The 2018-2019 school year is my second year.

What do you appreciate the most about the Principle Approach? I appreciate how it integrates Biblical Principles into the education of the students.

What do you see in your students that is most encouraging?I have seen students who, despite having challenges continue to try their best with joy and determination.

Why do you love teaching at Dayspring? I love the grace and love that Dayspring faculty and staff show to their students, and the care that students show to each other.

How do you teach a biblical worldview in your classroom?  In the treatment of students, showing them that they have been made in the image of God and are to be loved as such.

What do you think most students appreciate about your class? In P139 (our learning services program, students appreciate the help given and how it allows them to continue being a part of the classroom as they learn. In Afterschool, students appreciate that they have a chance to play with one another and develop friendships spanning the different classes in Lower School.

What is unique about you, your talents, or interests that you bring to the classroom? I love spending time with the students, learning what they love and playing alongside them. I spend a lot of time drawing with students in Afterschool. This has become something that both the students and myself have come to look forward to.

What have you seen in your students over the years that has touched your heart the most? When students feel safe and loved enough that they begin to share their life with me. They tell me about their interests and things that are happening in their life. It touches my heart to know that these students know that here at Dayspring the faculty and staff are interested in them and care for them greatly.

At Dayspring Christian Academy, we are committed to raising up the next generation of Christian leaders who acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ in every area of life, demonstrate a biblical worldview, become citizens of excellence in Christian character and scholarship, and aid in the restoration of America’s biblical foundation.
