A Monthly Invitation

Discover. Observe. Learn.

Dayspring Discovery Zone (DDZ) invites children ages 3-6 to a one-hour monthly adventure. Tailored for children and their parents to enjoy together, DDZ gives children a chance to interact with each other, while learning about God through a theme-based story, craft, activity, and even a snack. Parents are invited to relax and enjoy a hot beverage or take part in the experience alongside their child. DDZ is one hour full of fun that you won’t want to miss!

DDZ takes place once a month, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Dayspring Christian Academy in one of our Kindergarten classrooms. This is a free program, but registration is required.

Inside the Classroom

A Real Learning Environment

At DDZ, you will be greeted by our Lower School Principal, our Pre-K Teacher, and our Admissions Director, ready to teach, share, and answer your questions.

What you and your child will experience:

Story time featuring a specially chosen story that matches the monthly theme
A hands-on craft
A discovery activity
Age-appropriate Biblical truths woven naturally into learning

This one hour of fun and discovery is designed to give families a glimpse of what their child would learn at Dayspring.

Learning With Purpose

A New Theme Each Month

Each DDZ session focuses on a meaningful theme rooted in faith and discovery. Themes change monthly and are designed to be engaging, thoughtful, and developmentally appropriate for children ages 3–6.

Example themes:
November: The True Story of Thanksgiving
December: The True Story of Christmas
January: The True Story of Martin Luther King Jr.
February: The True Story of St. Valentine
March: The True Story of St. Patrick
April: The True Story of Easter

What Parents Ask Most

Do parents stay with their child the entire time?: Yes. DDZ is designed for parents and children to attend together.
Is this a drop-off program?: No. Parents remain in the classroom for the full session.
What if my child is shy or very active?: Children participate at their own comfort level. Parents remain nearby, and teachers guide the experience gently.
How is faith included?: Biblical truths are shared through stories, activities, and conversation in age-appropriate ways.
