Remember America Lecture Series

Which Way America?

No one can deny that the world has changed, and America, along with it.  One’s worldview will greatly determine if the change is a good thing or a bad thing.  As Christians, we believe in the God of the Bible, who is eternal, all-wise, all-powerful, loving, and just, among other supreme attributes.  Nothing is outside of His purview. Yet, in His plan and purposes He uses humans created by Him to partner with Him in executing those plans.  So, what is our role, not just as human beings, but as Christ-followers who have been born again into His eternal family?  This four-week Remember America Lecture Series will examine this question and others as we navigate turbulent times. Beginning at the beginning, we will lay the foundation for understanding Christ: His Story (history) and the role we have on that eternal timeline. Along the way, we will examine key links on America’s Christian history timeline, something that cannot be canceled!  The series will end with a serious look at the role education plays in shaping the worldview of individuals and nations.  The framework and outcome of Dayspring Christian Academy’s Principle Approach to education will be presented as a key tool for restoring our nation to the Biblical principles upon which it was founded.

This event will be livestreamed in the case of inclement weather, and for those unable to attend in-person.

The true history of the United Stated of America is being obscured and in danger of being “canceled.”  This session focuses on America’s Christian history timeline, looking for evidence that declares the wondrous works of God in raising this nation as a light of truth among the nations of the world.  If we forget who we are as a people, we will soon abandon our founding principles and become something we were never intended to be.

The heart of the series is an examination of the intent and content of America’s primary founding documents: The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution of the United States of America.  The Biblical principles that undergird and inform both documents will be presented, along with an important tool for understanding their meaning and protecting them. The short text, The Bible and the Constitution of the United States of America: A Primer of American Liberty is strongly suggested for this session. Purchase the book HERE.

The final session unveils the Principle Approach model of education which produced the founding generation of men and women who reasoned from Biblical principles of government to establish the world’s first Christian Constitutional Federal Republic: The United States of America. What role does and should education play in the home, the church, and civil government?  Does a philosophy of education really matter?  Words attributed to Abraham Lincoln present a clear answer to these questions: “The philosophy of education in the classroom in one generation will become the philosophy of government in the next generation.”  We will look at the validity of that statement and leave this series with great hope for our posterity and our nation.
