The Salvation Army presents the  2020 Olga Ruth Stratton & Thomas E Wolf Scholarships.  See Mrs. Russo for information and application.

• The College Board partners with scholarship providers connected to the SAT®, PSAT/NMSQT®, and PSAT™ 10. Through these partners, students can access over $300 million in scholarship awards. • OppU Achievers Scholarship in the amount of $2,500. High school seniors, college students, and graduate students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 are eleigible to apply. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or resident. Remaining deadlines are March 31, June 30, and September 30. Students must submit a short response to the question, “What makes you an achiever?” For more information click here.

• Mid Penn Bank’s “Anna Woodside Scholarship rewards three outstanding high school seniors with $1000 for college tuition costs. To be considered, applicants must prove dedication to academic excellence and community service. See Mrs. Russo for an application.

 Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association Scholarship: DEADLINE MARCH 6, 2020; Seniors planning to pursue a career in a communications field.

• Ames Charitable Foundation: DEADLINE MARCH 15, 2020; Graduating seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA, who are dependent children of associates of The Ames Companies, Inc. and plan to attend a post-secondary educational institution; Up to $4000;

• Douglas W. Pfautz Memorial Scholarship Fund: DEADLINE MARCH 15, 2020; Be in “good academic standing”, demonstrate good moral character and high sense of integrity, commitment to community service, financial need, and attending a 2 or 4 year university or trade school. Up to $500.

• EPAITDM Scholarship Program: DEADLINE MARCH 15, 2020: The Eastern Pa Information Technology Data Management Regional Chapter presents this scholarship to assist high school seniors interested in pursuing a career in information technology / computer science. Up to $1000 to a student interested in attending a 2 or 4 year program for IT or Computer Science and demonstrating character and leadership.

• United Steel Workers Hugh Carcella Scholarship Program: DEADLINE MARCH 15, 2020; Son or daughter or legal ward of the United Steel Workers District 10 (Eastern), planning any course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree. Contact the guidance office for information.

• Junior League of Lancaster County Deborah P. Altman Outstanding Youth Volunteer Award: DEADLINE MARCH 16, 2020. $1500 and a $300 donation to the charity of the winner’s choice. Lancaster County resident with a commitment to volunteer service and at least a “C” average., or contact the guidance office for application materials.

• Delta Sigma Theta Achievement Award Scholarship: DEADLINE MARCH 18, 2020. Any graduating senior pursuing post-secondary education is eligible. Contact the guidance office to request an application.

• John Charles Lohin Memorial Scholarship: DEADLINE MARCH 30, 2020; From the Lancaster County Retired School Employees Association. $1000 for a student who has qualified as a Special Needs Student, with IEP or 504 Plan documentation, and maintained a 3.5 GPA. Contact the guidance office for an application.

• The Lancaster Chapter of MOAA Memorial Scholarship is open until March 30. Please see Mrs. Russo for information and application.

• Southeastern PA Chapter of The Drifters, Inc: APPLICATION DEADLINE MARCH 31, 2020; Financial award for eligible African-American seniors residing in Southeastern PA (including Lancaster County). Essay, transcripts, and letter of recommendation required. Contact the guidance office for a copy of the application.

• Gene Hummel Scholarship: DEADLINE MARCH 31, 2020; Seniors who have maintained a 3.5 average and who wish to go into the field of education, have been accepted by college or technical school. Contact the guidance office for the application.

• Young American Creative Patriotic Arts Award: DEADLINE MARCH 31, 2020; Any student in grade 9 – 12 who is a U.S. citizen is eligible to participate by creating a work of patriotic art. 1st through 8th place, top prize $10,000. Contact the guidance office for rules and application.

• Susquehanna Valley Umpires Association Softball Scholarship: DEADLINE MARCH 31, 2020; provides a one-time $500 scholarship to a varsity softball player who participated in the Donegal Rheems Girls Softball League and continued playing high school softball through her senior year. GPA of 3.0, 500 word essay, letter of recommendation. Contact the guidance office for information.

• Gerald Fortney Memorial Scholarship – Lanco Federal Credit Union’s Gerald Fortney Memorial Scholarship is a $2,000 award granted annually to a graduating high school senior planning to earn an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited institution. The deadline is April 1, 2020. See Mrs. Russo for applications.

• LANCO Federal Credit Union, Gerald Fortney Memorial Scholarship: APPLICATION DEADLINE APRIL 1, 2020; $2000 award to a Lanco FCU member, or the child/in legal custody of a Lanco FCU member, in good standing. Applicant must have been accepted at an accredited institution and be planning to earn an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in any field of study. Applicant must have demonstrated a willingness to be of service to the community and a mature and respectful attitude toward peers and teachers. Contact the guidance office for application packet.

• Grove Family Fund 2 HACC Scholarship: DEADLINE APRIL 1, 2020; Attendance at HACC full or part-time, Minimum GPA of 2.0, Financial need;

• Mary Sachs Memorial Scholarship Fund: DEADLINE APRIL 1, 2020; Female graduating high school seniors in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, or Lancaster County, planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college or trade school to study study fashion, fashion design, retailing, entrepreneurship or business. Community Service.

• Ervin L. Steele Nursing Scholarship: DEADLINE APRIL 15, 2020; $1000 offered to eligible Lancaster or Chester County student who plans to enter the Nursing profession. Contact the guidance office for the application.

• John Apple Memorial Scholarship: DEADLINE APRIL 20, 2020; a $1,000 scholarship in memory of John F. Apple to a graduating Lancaster County high school swimmer who wants to further his/her education. The successful candidate will be a leader and innovator who approaches life with a positive attitude. One senior male and one senior female will be selected for this award. • Sue Weisman Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Scholarship: POSTMARKED DEADLINE MAY 1, 2020; recognizes the individual accomplishments of young people who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and dedication to the environment and who have initiated and carried out a project that addresses one of Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful’s focus areas and programs. • Pennsylvania ROFL Scholarship, Pointe Pest Control: DEADLINE MAY 30, 2020; Make us laugh by giving us your best joke or funny experience. $500. Contact

• Elizabethtown Fair Scholarship: DEADLINE JUNE 15, 2020; $500 awarded an individual who has exhibited at the Elizabethtown Fair for at least two years. Other criteria apply. Contact the guidance office for application.

• Korean-American Scholarship Foundation, Eastern Regional Chapter: DEADLINE JUNE 30, 2020; Awards for students with Korean heritage, studying in the United States, regardless of citizenship status. Minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrated financial need, plans to study in Delaware, District of Columbia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or West Virginia. Note: Application will be open in April 2020.

Kids’ Chance of Pennsylvania: applicants must have a parent who has been killed or seriously injured as a result of a work related accident that meets the criteria of the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act and that has resulted in demonstrated financial need.
