When parents send their children off to school each day, it is difficult to truly know what the children are learning. Parents are expected to entrust their most precious “possessions”—their children—to be trained by others, over the course of twelve years or more, which adds up to approximately 16,000 hours. Wow! That requires an incredible amount of TRUST. Where can parents turn to find help with training up their children?

Who am I, and why do I care about the education of your children? My name is Dee, a mother of three and a grandmother of eight, and while I’m new to blogging, I’m not new to the world of education. For over thirty years, it has been my passion to teach children in a way that meets their needs to explore and discover—while still landing firmly in the truth of each subject area. I’m currently the Lower School Principal at Dayspring Christian Academy.
The human mind is a fascinating thing. It craves information and naturally questions about what it sees and hears. As we train children, we want them to always ask why and to keep searching until they find the foundational truth—the biblical truth that underlies all things.
Today, we live in a culture that often lacks a fixed concept of truth. Yet, we are all thankful that bankers reconcile their ledgers against absolute figures and medical professionals base their diagnoses on immutable biological laws. I would argue that all subjects should be taught from their true origins—the biblical truths that govern each subject area.
Each day, the teachers and administration at Dayspring Christian Academy are intentionally building a systematic framework for knowing truth. We help students ask meaningful questions so their curiosity never fades. We encourage them to explore ideas, make connections, and discover how truth reveals itself not only within one subject, but across many.
This is the heart of education at Dayspring Christian Academy: guiding children to think deeply, seek truth, and grow in understanding—academically, intellectually, and spiritually.
If you are thinking you could trust your precious children to educators who think and teach this way, Dayspring Christian Academy is worth visiting.

We are excited to offer a new program, Dayspring Discovery Zone (DDZ), designed for children ages 3 to 6. DDZ is a one-hour monthly adventure tailored for children and their parents to enjoy together. Here is what one parent had to say after visiting the DDZ in December:
“My 4-year-old and I enjoyed the Christmas DDZ. It was evident that this is a place where little hearts grow in God’s love and their curious minds begin to shine. From the interactive Christmas story to the craft and sensory bin, my little boy loved his first taste of what happens at Dayspring! Looking forward to attending the next DDZ!”
Interested in attending the next DDZ on February 26? Click here to sign up. If you have older children and want to see firsthand how we accomplish the kind of education described above, make an appointment and come see what we do every day—or visit one of our upcoming Open House events: February 12 for early childhood (preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten) and March 12 for all grades. At Dayspring Christian Academy, we are committed to raising up the next generation of Christian leaders who acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ in every area of life, demonstrate a Biblical worldview, become citizens of excellence in Christian character and scholarship, and aid in the restoration of America’s Biblical foundation.
